How would you price art? I have recently been involving myself in a bit of culture (and by that I mean getting off my lazy bottom and attending some exhibitions) and I am finding out that prices in art are very vast. I try to understand how the artists manage to price them, but I never quite get it. Do you ask yourself how good a painting is by your own standard? or by a worldly standard? should you compare yourself to other artists? or should you maybe consider the time you have spent on it?
