school stress and Hamburg

Mon Oct 12, 2009, 9:22 AM
Hello, lovely people.
I am currently listening to radiohead's stimulating sounds (something I do when stressed) and going through the long-ish list of painting we need to learn about and study for history of art during these two years.
If you didn't know, I just started attending higher secondary and am studying for English and Art a level and a couple of intermediates. Many of the said paintings are internationally renowned, some of which I don't really get/like, and some of which I adore.
We have to buy stacks of books for the various subjects chosen and it feels so different now that I'm in a new school in which my sister also attends (poor her having me to tend for).
Anyway there you go, school stress in a nutshell.

Now, Hamburg. It's in the title for a reason you know. A German lady acquaintance of ours, who has the most extravagant accent very kindly so invited me and my sister to spend some time at her house at Hamburg during the Christmas hols, naturally me and sister were ecstatic and still are when we think of us frolicking around in Germany. Not being frequent travelers we marvel at the idea of leaving this island for a few days (or for good).
Anyway, not being able to reach for conclusions (and dates) we keep our fingers crossed and can only hope for this to happen.

On a different note, I went to watch "500 days of summer two days ago" and loved every second of it. plus it features songs from two of my favourite bands and artists ever; Regina Spektor is basically my music icon and The Smiths, a band I recently discovered but love nonetheless. Anyway, I recommend it to anyone who likes romantic comedies with an edge. That is all I have to rant about for now, until next time, Goodbyeeeeeee.

Hello again!

Sat Sep 12, 2009, 9:31 AM
Hello again... after a long pause of almost the whole summer I am back! Equipped with a pencil in my hand and creative juices flowing in my mind... and surely some new art coming soon.
I'll be starting a new school this year, so... Yay me! I'm going to be attending Higher secondary at Naxxar, where my sis also is and I'm going to spend two whole years of working my butt off to achieve A levels in art and English and learn some other subject. Pretty excited about it actually...wheee.... -_-.
Don't know what to say anymore, boring person is boring... I never seem to have much to say, not much of a rambling person.. or am I?...... Byee?

Artist block

Sun Jul 19, 2009, 6:58 AM
Hello, you lovely people.
I haven't been able to draw recently because I lost my sense of concentration, no really. It went somewhere and I can't find it.. I hope I will find it soon or I will lose my mind. I am not being able to concentrate not only on drawing but on everything else, I seem to get bored as soon as I grab the pencil, I can't sit down and just read... Ever happened to anyone? If yes please tell me that you were alright after a while and that It's just because of the hot weather or something.
On a more positive note... I have received my exam results and got a very surprising 1 at art :D (which is really good, of course). I passed all the others except one which is a pain but oh well...

Devious Journal Entry

Sun Jun 21, 2009, 12:35 PM
Why hello there.
This may not be in many of your interests but I have finally organized my pile of art supplies that was in the dining room giving an eye sore to whoever might pass near it. Mom has been urging me to do so for a while and I finally got around to do it, might even encourage myself to draw when looking at the neatly stacked sketch and reference books and paints.
On a different note, I have realized the joy of giving presents rather than receiving them, isn't that sweet of me? not at all. It's my sister's lucky birthday in August and I like it more than if it was my birthday soon. what strange person.
Anyway nothing has been happening to me much, just wanted to post a pointless journal entry, no reason you should have read it, but it's too late now muhaha, no wait I will make up for the time wasted reading this with some epicness; [link]

Nothing much

Wed May 20, 2009, 2:53 AM
Hello,
Nothing much has happened to me lately except exams and other bothersome things. Right now I'm actually a bit pissed off at the book sellers in Malta. As some of you may know; Percy Jackson, The last Olympian has come out a while ago. I've been browsing various bookstores to purchase it but can't find it anywhere. So if any of you kind Maltese people own it, please tell me where you got it. That would make me very happy.
Yeah and green day's album has come out, it's called 20th century breakdown, am checking out some songs right now, sound good! Haven't got it yet though.

Anyway, anyone got twitter or facebook?
here are mine;

Any of you people would like to add me/follow, do so. I'd be glad to add/follow you back.
Goodbye!
